The 1st Day of School

It was a very warm start to the school year. The car thermometer read 83 degrees at 7:45 a.m. Katelyn and Konner said they both had a great 1st day. Konner said he has 28 kids, Kate said she couldn't remember.

The pictures show that the Brother - Sister Team really did have a good day!

Lions and Wolves and Bears Oh My!

On Friday, after a night in Keystone, SD, we stopped at an animal park. We actually were able to see the wild animals as we drove through the wildlife park. The most scary animal was the Mountain Goat. All I could think of was his horns going into the side of the car like a pop can. The black bears and timber wolves were highly favored. Believe it or not, the timber wolves and the bears live in the same area. All the animals are separated by a livestock gateless control system. You should have seen the Arctic wolves drooling over the reindeer. We will show more pictures later of babyland it resembles a zoo. There were babies that you usually only see in pictures when learning the alphabet.

South Dakota here we come!

On our way back from Colorado, we decide to turn left and head for South Dakota. We had a fun time. This was the best part of the trip. We didn't have a map, motel reservations, and a clue where were going to end up. The first picture is Wind Cave where we stumbled onto some buffalo grazing in a field and some prairie dogs and you guessed it Mt Rushmore.
